This folk song has a history of 350 years and is a nationally proud tradition of Yatsuo Town. 『Owara Kaze no Bon"
The songs and dances are elegant, noble, lyrical and poetic.
The mournful melody of the kokyu and shamisen come together as one.
This festival takes place amongst streets lit by lanterns.
Nowadays, the 210th day festival is held to ward off typhoons and pray for a rich harvest.
It is crowded with many spectators from inside and outside the prefecture.
